about
"This song was the first real Single Player song ever written. I'd estimate it was written in 2010 and then attempted to be recorded so many times I can't remember. This recording probably happened in 2012, but like I said, with the amount of times I tried to properly record it, I stopped being able to keep the attempts/recordings straight. I even laughed at a few things I didn't like in this recording after listening to it. I do remember this was recorded by my friend Kevin Kralj in the studio he built in his basement. Eli Tracy played bass on it as well. I believe I recorded everything else." ~Sean Neumann

"keep it in the dark" feels like summer storm music: it swirls and comes in torrents but it cools your skin with burst of calm. i don't know how they balance the dichotomy so easily, but they do. the pitterpatter of accidentals in "fools"'s guitar line, the gentle unison vocals of "we collide", the churning sea of "see what happens"- it all melds into something as rousing as it is calming.
